Travel to Hunza Valley: The Easiest Route via Gilgit Airport
Hunza Valley is easy to reach from anywhere in the world. You can fly to Islamabad International Airport and then either rent a car or take public buses to Gilgit via the Karakoram Highway. Hunza is about 600 km from Islamabad, taking around 12 hours by private car and 16-18 hours by public bus. Another option is the Babusar Road, which is usually open from May to late September, but it’s only for private vehicles. Public transport mainly uses the Karakoram Highway.
For a quicker option, you can fly directly to Gilgit Airport. The flight takes less than an hour, and from there, it’s just a 2-hour drive to Hunza.
